Bobby A. Langdon, of Oxford, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 19, 2019. He was 84-years-old.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Patsy Gail (Ewald), daughter Kimberly (Richard) Skalnek and son Robert Langdon; grandchildren Kellie (Brett), Ryan (Leah), and Trey ; great-grandchildren Ava, Harlow, Brooks, and Georgia; sister Dawn Boucher; sister-in-law’s Lorelei (Tim) Arthaud, Janet Bedford, Mary Ann Ewald and Laverne Langdon; many nieces and nephews; and his great grand dogs Lola and Tiberius.
Bobby was born September 15, 1935 to Harry and Betty Langdon in Orchard Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Harry, Stanley, Jerry, and Kenny; sisters Bonnie, Myrna, Judy, and Faye; and his beloved grand dog Maxwell.
Bobby married his sweetheart Patsy in June of 1959. He proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1965. Bobby retired from ITT Higbie in Rochester after 30 years of service. One of his passions was coaching little league baseball in Oxford, where he coached his son Bob and his grandsons Ryan and Trey. He was an avid sports fan, especially Michigan football, and was affectionately called “Michigan Bob” and “Big Bob” by many. He enjoyed his daily morning coffee with “the guys” at Art and Dicks.
Bobby was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral from Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, 39 W. Burdick, Oxford, on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 11 a.m. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 23rd from 3-8 p.m. and Thursday from 10-11 a.m. Interment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly (date and time are pending).
