Lake Orion – Synopsis of Ordinance – Parking on Village Public Property and Street Ordinance

SYNOPSIS OF ORDINANCE ADOPTED

ORDINANCE AMENDMENT NO 7.14

PARKING ON VILLAGE PUBLIC

PROPERTY AND STREET ORDINANCE

At its Regular Meeting of June 10, 2019, the Lake Orion Village Council accepted for second reading and adopted Ordinance No. 7.14 to amend the Village of Lake Orion Code of Ordinances, Title VII. Traffic Code, Chapter 71: Parking Regulations, Parking on Restricted Ownership Property.

The effect of this Ordinance, if adopted, is to regulate parking on village owned property that has been deeded to the village for “parking purposes only” and Village residential streets.  It has been determined by the Village Council that the regulations of this subchapter are necessary to prohibit unauthorized and abusive use of such property and for public safety to have clearly passable residential streets.

This Ordinance is effective upon the publication of this synopsis. The complete text of the Ordinance is on file in the office of the Village Clerk and available for public inspection during regular Village office hours located at 21 E. Church Street, Lake Orion, Michigan, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
