The Lake Orion High School varsity boys basketball team had a busy schedule last week, traveling to Bloomfield Hills and then hosting Birmingham Groves, coming away with one win and one loss.
After a strong comeback by the Black Hawks that Lake Orion was unable to overcome, the Dragons were defeated by Bloomfield Hills High School 67-62.
The leading scorer for the Dragons was DJ Morrow with 35 points.
Blake Liddell and Ethan Sharkey each scored seven points. Quay Fly added five points while Gabe Scott, Nate Havrilla and Kaydon Degraffe each had two.
The Dragons hosted Groves High School on Friday, defeating the Falcons 51-44.
Morrow led the Dragons in scoring again with 24 points. Sharkey had 11 points and Liddell had eight.
The Lake Orion team is now 2-5 in the OAA White division and 9-9 overall.
They host Rochester High School on Feb. 21 after Review press time. — M.K.
