The Oxford Varsity girls basketball team’s seven-game winning streak came to an end Friday night when Fenton dominated them 60-36.
Junior Le’Essa Collier led the team with 12 points.
‘Friday was a combination of Fenton playing extremley well and us playing very poorly,? said coach Al Poynter. ‘We just did not come out with enough energy and intensity, both of which have been keys to our success all season.?
The Ladycats are now 11-5 overall and 10-3 in the Flint Metro League. They travel to Lapeer East Friday night at 6 p.m.
