The Oxford Varsity girl’s basketball team hit their highest point total of the season with Monday night’s 56-41 win against Holly.
Junior Jessica Raisch had 15 points and eight rebounds, while junior captain Joelle Harms also had 15 and three steals for the night.
‘After a slow start, our girls really locked in defensively,? said Coach Al Poynter.
On Friday, the Ladycats dominated Swartz Creek 49-38.
Raisch slotted 17 points, four rebounds, three blocked shots and three steals, while Harms had 15 points and four steals.
Oxford is now 11-4 overall and 10-2 in the Flint Metro League, which guarantees the Varsity team its first winning season since 2002.
They are still one game behind Fenton for first place in the league. Oxford takes on the Tigers this Friday at home at 6 p.m.
