Criminal sexual conduct
A former girls lacrosse coach at Lake Orion High School will face a preliminary examination on Nov. 6 in Rochester 52/3 District Court on a charge of criminal sexual conduct for allegedly having inappropriate relations with a 15-year-old student athlete.
The woman was employed through a company called CoachEZ, an institution that serves as a conduit between schools and coaches.
The problem came to light when the parents of the student noticed their daughter acting suspiciously. When they confronted her, they learned of the relationship. They immediately contacted the sheriff’s office.
The preliminary examination is scheduled to be held in front of Judge Judy Nicholson.

Assault, battery, resisting and obstructing
Orion Township deputies responded to family trouble in the 500 block of Bunny Run Blvd. on Oct. 28 and arrested a 24-year-old New York man.
The 24-year-old, visiting from New York, was arraigned on Oct. 29 in front of Judge Malinda Balian on a $10,000 for assault and battery and resisting and obstructing police.
His next court date is on Nov. 6 at 52/3 District Court on the charges of assault and battery and resisting and obstructing a police officer.
According to police reports, a woman at the house wanted her son to leave her home because he was intoxicated. He had become argumentative and allegedly had an altercation with his brother.
Deputies removed him from the home and placed him in custody, but he began to fight back. He was tackled and taken to the ground where he was handcuffed. During the altercation a deputy injured his hand.
The man was transported to Oakland County Jail on charges of domestic assault and resisting and obstructing a police officer. The deputy was treated at a 24-hour clinic in Oxford.
