Kara Gaye Kulenkamp, 30, of Lake Orion, Michigan, passed away on Saturday July 8, 2017. She was born on January 30, 1987 in Peoria, Illinois to parents Ron and Gaye Kulenkamp. After moving to Michigan at a young age, Kara graduated from Lake Orion High School and later attended Ferris State University and Grand Valley State University.
Kara took pride in working as a dental assistant at Brown Dental Associates in Troy, Michigan, and volunteering at the Oakland County Animal Shelter and Pet Adoption Center. She loved animals, going to the beach and parks, watching the Detroit Tigers, and spending time with friends and family. Kara was a loving and caring person with an unbelievable smile who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her parents Ron and Gaye Kulenkamp; brother Matt Kulenkamp; grandparents Les and Norma Gadbury; grandparents Jack and Catherine Kulenkamp; aunts and uncles Linda and Mark Joseph, Linda Diel and Greg Gadbury, Gloria and Mike Cardoni, Gwen and Jackie Donnals, Carol and Gary Gadbury; by cousins Julie, Johanna, Jessie, Lydia, Samuel, Kathleen, John, Jeff, James, Jeremy, Valerie, Katherine, Tom, Kristina; and by her godparents Tammy and Corky Dawes. She was preceded in death by her cousin Jamie.
Visitation service will be held from 4 -8 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2017 at Modetz Funeral Home Silverbell Chapel in Lake Orion, Michigan. Funeral service will be held 3 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2017 at the Lake Orion United Methodist Church in Lake Orion, Michigan.
Memorial donations may be made in Kara’s name to the Lake Orion United Methodist Church or the Oakland County Animal Shelter and Pet Adoption Center.
