Two popular band members with local roots are returning to help out with the Flint water crisis.
Niko and Gino Puzio, brothers and former Goodrich School District students, founded the band Kougaran in the summer of 2010. Described as a rock band with a modern twist, Kougaran has grown in popularity over the past few years. The band has opened for Stryper, Jack Russal, Great White, Buck Cherry, and Autograph.
From 6-10 p.m., March 5 at the U-M Flint Theatre, Kougaran will join bands All is Faded, 3 Minutes to Oblivion and the Wicker Brothers in Rock 2-0 Flint Rock Show to benefit Flint residents.
‘The Flint water crisis really hit home with us,? said Niko. ‘Since I grew up around there when I heard about this event we decided to come back and play.?
Both Niko and Gino attend Columbia College in Chicago where they study music.
