Culver’s, home of the famous ButterBurger and creamy frozen custard, now has a home in Lake Orion after opening its doors with a ribbon-cutting event and ceremony July 29.
The restaurant, which serves fast, casual food, cooked-to-order, is located on Interpark Drive, on the corner of Lapeer and Dutton Roads.
It will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Many guests were on hand to cut the ribbon while Craig Culver, the chain’s co-founder, and local owners Joe and Sue Zimmer welcomed guests.
‘We’ve always wanted to open our own restaurant, and we believe Culver’s will serve as a great addition to the dining options in Lake Orion,? Joe Zimmer said.
Culver’s serves a large variety of lunch and dinner items, including its ButterBurger and frozen custard.
‘ButterBurgers are the chain’s most popular sandwich,? Zimmer said. ‘They get their name from the touch of real butter we brush on the crown of the bun before we toast it.?
Guests can customize their frozen custard with more than 30 ‘Concrete? mix-in flavors, and three frozen custard flavors are offered every day: vanilla, chocolate, and a flavor of the day.
‘Culver’s was founded on the idea that every guest who chooses Culver’s leaves happy,? Culver said. ‘The outstanding people who serve our guests behind the counter have helped us earn our reputation, and we’re excited to have team members from the surrounding Lake Orion community as part of our team.?
