Nearly three years after signing the paperwork to bring a tanning salon to Clarkston, District Manager Nadia Lossia is ready and Island Sun Tanning is open.
Island Sun Tanning is one of eight tanning salons managed by Lossia in the Metro-Detroit area.
Lossia discussed the aspects of Clarkston that made the three year wait worthwhile.
‘I love the area, I can’t tell you how much. If I could I’d live here. It’s a great business environment. This is were I’ll hopefully retire,? said Lossia. ‘We can hear the music from DTE Music Theater and enjoy the beautiful landscaping. My husband and I love to eat at Clarkston Cafe.?
Island Sun Tanning specializes in memberships with low monthly payments so customers can tan easily and often.
‘Many people are joining with memberships just like a health club. We can simply set up the monthly payments to be deducted from their accounts and they won’t have to worry about bringing money,? said Lossia.
Lossia emphasized the clean, air-conditioned environment her store provides. The store offers all levels of tanning services including: a Matrix high pressure bed, standing tanning, regular bed tanning and different levels of Very High Rays (VHR).
Island Sun Tanning is located at 7743 Sashabaw Road. Hours are 10 a.m.-9 p.m. weekdays, 10 a.m.- 8 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays. For more information call 248-625-4503.
