Despite leading most of the game against Flint Kearsley, Oxford wasn’t able to hold off the Hornets as the Wildcats lost 51-47.
Oxford played on the road Dec. 16 against Kearsley.
Down by two late in the game after having a late lead, the Wildcats couldn’t overcome too many shortcomings.
‘We played well but gave up too many rebounds and turned the ball over too much,? said head coach Steve Laidlaw.
Anthony Esparsa led with six rebounds.
For scoring, Tommy Nieman had 14 points while Mike Bertling had 10.
