Home Depot and Lake Orion police officers are volunteering their time to finish the repairs on the Children’s Park gazebo off Broadway Street today.
The project is funded by a Home Depot community outreach grant and includes new decking, column fascia, lattice work, steps and handrails.
The work should be finished today, said Alana Hart, community outreach coordinator for Home Depot.
Crews had started the work a few weeks ago, installing the new decking, but bad weather had delayed completion until workers could return.
Reminder: The DDA’s Gazebo Summer Concert series continues from 2-4 p.m. Sunday in the park.
