As part of the Clarkston Health Center’s open house on Aug. 12, local physicians will present an informative round of seminars.
The presentations are on the Clarkston Medical Campus inside a mobile learning center sponsored by Zimmer Inc.. The topics will focus on osteoathritis, minimally invasive hip and knee replacement, youth sports standards and the role of first responders to sports injuries.
At 10 a.m., Dr. Richard Moyer will showcase treatment procedures and products designed to improve the quality of life for arthritis sufferers. A selection of the latest orthopedic products available for arthritic treatment will be on display.
For the second presentation of the day, Dr. Martin Jenter will address the issues of appropriate standards of youth sports at 1:30 p.m. Dr. Jenter will discuss which activities are appropriate at various age levels.
Dr. Paul Lewis will continue the open house with a presentation at 3:30 p.m. on first responders to sport injuries. Treatment of sports related injuries will also be covered.
To close the open house, Dr. Michael Fugle will present at 6:30 p.m. on minimally invasive hip and knee replacement. His speech will include details of the replacement procedure as well as a hands-on explanation of the joint implants utilized.
