‘Hats off to spring?

The Orion Art Center tipped its hat off to spring at its annual fashion show held on Saturday, March 24 at Boulder Pointe Conference Center.
Over 100 people attended the event that featured a fashion show, lunch, vendors and door prizes. Local community volunteers modeled the fashions, which featured looks for adults by Suzanne’s, of Marysville, and teen prom fashions by David’s Bridal Salon.
The fashion show raised over $2,000 and the funds will be matched by a service grant from the Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA).
The Orion Art Center offers art classes for children and adults, summer art camps and a free concert series on Monday evenings in August. They also host an Austrian Band and Choir through the Blue Lake International Exchange Program. This year, the group will be here from July 19-22 and the Orion Art Center is looking for individuals interested in becoming a host family for this event.
