From 6:30-7:30 p.m., Oct. 31, the Village of Ortonville will host trick-or-treating followed by the annual bonfire with cider and doughnuts at the DPW building, 159 Cedar St.
In addition the following streets will be closed for the hour of Trick-or-Treating: Church from Mill Street to Oakwood Road, Cedar Street from Mill Street to Ball Street, and Ball Street from Cedar Street to Church Street. No cars during that hour will be allowed in or out. From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., until Oct. 29, candy donations can be made at the village offices, 476 Mill St. or Papa Bella’s, 425 Mill St., Ortonville. If residents would like to be put on the list for Halloween candy they must call the village office at 248-627-4976 or stop into the village office, 476 Mill St.
The Village of Goodrich has set trick-or-treating hours for Halloween from 6-7 p.m., Oct. 31.
Residents are asked to drop off sealed bags of wrapped candy to the village office, 7338 S. State Road or make a cash donation due to the high number of children trick-or-treating in village neighborhoods. Donations should be received by Oct. 30.
Village residents in need of additional candy can call the village office to be placed on the list.
