“A Toast to Humanity,? a fundraiser for the Novi-based Haiti Outreach Mission, will be held at the Positive Vibration Wine Bar on Baldwin Road on April 19 at 7 p.m.
Funds raised will be used to further the orphanage, the bakery, and the medical and educational work Haiti Outreach Mission began doing in 1998.
The event will include a silent auction, wine tasting, entertainment, tropical themed menu and specials on wine.
Tickets for the event are $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
Donations to Haiti Outreach Mission, a 501(c) non-profit charitable organization are tax-deductible.
‘This is what Positive Vibration is all about, doing something good for people who need our help so much,? Owner Nathan Hunter said.
‘There’s so much to do in Haiti, and once you’ve been there you just can’t forget how grateful the people are for things like dental care and one good meal a day,? added Cheryl LeBoeuf, a board member of Haiti Outreach Mission and the event organizer.
