Groveland Twp. – Signs at the borders of Groveland Township not only welcome visitors, but are personally meaningful to local businessman Steve Stolaruk, who donated the signs.
‘It’s a donation and dedication memorial to my wife,? said Stolaruk.
Stolaruk’s wife of 52 years, Vivian, used to accompany him on business to Groveland Township before she died last year, said township supervisor Bob DePalma.
The two signs–one located at M-15 and Grange Hall Road and one on Dixie Highway– demonstrate Stolaruk’s dedication to the area, says DePalma.
While Groveland Township is providing most of the landscaping around the signs, other businesses, such as Bedrock Landscaping, are also adding donations of materials to the sign project.
DePalma commends business owners for their interest.
‘When you put these nice signs up it helps people know what kind of community it is. It’s zoned, nice for people moving into the township.?
