Grapplers foil opponents at duel

The Lake Orion wrestling team won their duel meets against Troy high schools on Jan. 7–quite handily.
They beat Troy High School 59-19 and Troy Athens 49-27.
On Saturday, they sent one team to Adrian High School, and another to East Detroit. They had a strong showing at both, according to Coach Doug Kline.
‘It was a very good weekend,? Kline said.
At Adrian, the Dragons A team beat Howell in the finals.
They won 4-1 in East Detroit.
With wrestlers like Justin Ruddy out with strep throat, Lake Orion had absences to contend with, Kline said.
‘One of the key elements we had was wrestling seven kids who aren’t usually in the line-up,? he added. ‘It speaks to our depth.?
In East Detroit, Bobby Harr, 189 class, and Josh Hoffman both went 5-0.
‘They led the way down there,? Kline said.
In Adrian, Miguel Mattson, 112 class, and Angel Erazo, 125 class, both went 5-0, too.
‘It was very exciting seeing Angel do as well as he did,? Kline said.
The main story of the week, though, was the return of Dougie Mack, who wrestled two classes above his regular weight at 135.
He went 4-0.
‘Everyone was real excited to see him back,? Kline said.
