To the editor:
The Goodrich/Atlas Chamber of Commerce offers thanks for the past year and best wishes for the New Year to all of our customers and supporters. The holiday season started with the ‘Goodrich Downtown Christmas? celebration. Many community groups, such as Boy Scouts, area churches, school choirs and bands were represented that night. It is through local support that area businesses can continue to exist and hopefully grow. A prosperous and Happy New Year to all.

‘Goodrich Downtown Christmas?
Dear Editor:
The Goodrich-Atlas Chamber of Commerce thanks all who participated in this year’s Downtown Christmas Dec. 3. It is a wonderful time for community and businesses to come together. Special thanks to Boy Scout Troop 340, Atlas Township Fire Department, The Historical Society, Goodrich United Methodist Church Choir and Pastor Karl and the Goodrich High School Choir and Jazz Band. We wish you a bountiful and glorious New Year.
Patty Plant, Goodrich
Goodrich- The village’s signature event promises to be bigger and better than ever this year.
Although hundreds turned out for last year’s celebration, for the first time since Goodrich Downtown Christmas began nearly a decade ago, it’s being co-sponsored.
The newly reorganized Goodrich-Atlas Chamber of Commerce, along with the United Way of Genesee County are contributing to the event. Look for cinnamon almonds being roasted, a fire department-sponsored bonfire, historical society-sponsored horse and carriage tours, gift wrapping, local restaurant association foods, a Toys for Tots collection, the ‘Party Animals? petting zoo, the Genesee District Library Book Mouse, cookies, face-painting, story-telling, performances by the ‘Act Four? ladies quartet, and of course, Santa Claus. Committee members are also seeking participation by service organizations, school groups, churches, and interested individuals.
