Goodrich Chamber seeks to regroup

Goodrich – Bank managers, restaurateurs, and a flower shop owner? all differ in regard to their business yet all will soon have one thing in common, they’ll all be members of the Goodrich Area Chamber of Commerce.
On Aug. 24 more than 20 area entrepreneurs gathered at Cranberries Caf? for the first meeting of the reactivivated Goodrich Area Chamber of Commerce.
‘It’s been five years since we’ve met and 10 years since we’ve been active,? said Amy Grimes, Bank One-Goodrich branch manager. ‘There has been some new growth in the area and it’s time we got going on a chamber.?
Grimes along with Patty Plant of Cranberries Cafe and others began promoting the chamber earlier this year with the hopes of organizing a core group of Goodrich and Atlas Township businesses. The goals include a means of networking and promoting a growing number of small business in the Atlas Township and Goodrich market. In addition many home- based businesses will also have the opportunity to be promoted through the chamber..
‘Right now we’ll participate in key community events including the Goodrich homecoming.?
