Goodrich-With spring officially under way, golfers at Goodrich Country Club, are back in the swing of things.
New golf course superintendent Bob McNab said the greens at made it through the winter with minimal damage.
The few issues McNab encountered weren’t due to frigid temperatures or even the flooding much of Atlas Township saw earlier this month. It was in fact snowmobiles, said McNab, that most impacted the course.
‘For the most part we came through real nice,? said McNab.
While McNab ensures the rolling hills of the course are up to par, club house manager Kim Ball saw improvements on her turf as well.
‘We just remodeled (banquet facilities) upstairs and down,? said Ball.
Happy hour at the clubhouse is 5 – 8 p.m. every Wednesday and Friday, with a variety of beer, wine and liquor to choose from.
For the younger than 21 crowd, Goodrich Country Club,10080 Hegel Road, offers student memberships for $150 .
‘They can play all the golf they want, Monday through Friday until noon,? said Ball.
Spring rates are in effect at this public golf course until April 30. Golfers can stop by and play nine holes for $10 or 18 holes for $22’golf cart included? Monday through Friday. Weekend rates are $15 for nine holes or $22 for 18.
