Goodrich – Goodarich School staff was treated to a festive breakfast last week, served up by administrators.
The holiday breakfast is an annual rite that started more than two decades ago, inspired by superintendent Raymond Green’s experience in another district, he said.
‘Everybody seemed to enjoy getting together once a year–we get a good turnout,? he said.
The event wouldn’t be complete without some good natured teasing.
‘They think we ought to do it every day,? said Green with a chuckle.
After owning and operating a bed-and-breakfast, Goodrich High School Principal Kenneth Andrzejewski is a pro at serving up his secret French Toast recipe, which Green describes as ‘pretty tasty?.
Other breakfast offerings included scrambled eggs and sausage.
‘The menu hasn’t varied too much,? said Green, asserting his well-trained crew can pull off preparations in an hour. In their red aprons, the cooks and wait staff blend well with the festive tableware, and ‘everybody gets into the spirit,? he said.
There is a downside to the holiday cheer.
‘I eat too much,? said Green. ‘Cooks always have to try what they’re cooking.?
