Going for glory

The Clarkston football team hosted its annual Blue and Gold game on August 12. The Blue and Gold game is an inter-squad scrimmage designed to give the team its first game action. Clarkston Head Coach Kurt Richardson said he thought the scrimmage went well.
‘We got out healthy. That’s my biggest worry when we have these things,? Richardson said. ‘We didn’t put the ball on the ground and we weren’t sloppy with the football. Those two things, which mean a lot, were pretty good.?
Richardson also said he did not have anything in particular he wanted to work on during the game.
‘We were just trying to get a pecking order for the scrimmage,? Richardson said. ‘There were a lot of good things and I’m sure once we watch film there were some bad things too.?
The Wolves host a four-team scrimmage on August 17 and open up the regular season by hosting Rochester Adams on August 25.
