GHS kickers tie Durand in league action

The Goodrich soccer team’s success or failure in each game can be traced to how hard they work.
That is the word from Coach Josh Watson, whose Martians are currently 3-3-2 overall and 2-0-2 in the Genesee Area Conference after a 2-2 tie against Durand Sept. 20.
Austin Mortimer and Bobby Short scored the goals for the Martians.
Watson said the Martians did not play to their potential against the Railroaders.
‘We played a bad game,? he said. ‘We gave them some confidence and let them back in it. Our first half was all right, but our second half was horrible. We just didn’t come to play.?
The Martians were scheduled to compete Sept. 28 at Frankenmuth and Sept. 29 at Mt. Morris. Their next game is Oct. 4 against LakeVille.
