GAP sponsores winter race for bikers, runners

The Lake Orion Schools? Dragon Guided Activities Program (GAP) is sponsoring a Winter Mountain Bike race as well as a three-mile running race on Saturday, Feb. 16.
These races are geared towards training races and to cure that infamous Michigan cabin fever.
There will be Expert/Elite, Sport, and Beginner categories in the mountain bike race. There will be middle school, high school and adult divisions for the run.
The cost for the running race is $15, and the mountain biking portion will cost $20. Athletes may also compete in both races for $30.
All proceeds from the races will benefit the Dragon GAP after school programs.
Entry forms are available at the Lake Orion High School Athletic Office or can be found on line at www.lakeorion.k12.mi.us/lohs/index.html.
