TRACK: The Lake Orion track squads fell to 0-2 on the young OAA I season, losing to West Bloomfield in their first home meet of 2008.
The girls?, who lost 83-45, were led by Alexandria Johnson’s first place finishes in the 100-dash and 200-dash, Allie Hock’s victory in the 1600-run and Jillian Linklater’s win in the high jump.
Hock teamed with Lisa Bandico, Renae Riley and Sydney Gutierrez to win the 3200-relay event.
On the boys? side, individual winners were Niklas Rippon in the 110-hurdles and 300-hurdles, Sean Bone in the 1600-run, Ryan Ziolko in the 800-run and Doug Mack in the 3200-run.
The team of Kyle Lawton, Brandon Walters, John Paulson and Ziolko took a first place finish in the 3200-relay.
West Bloomfield swept the 200-dash late in the meet and held on for a 70-58 victory.
BASEBALL: Drew Ordakowski’s grand slam and Josh Deeg’s five shutout innings and three-run blast helped Lake Orion to a 13-6 victory over Farmington on Wednesday.
The team improved to 3-0 in league action and 6-0 overall. They will play in Coldwater this weekend.

GOLF: Andy Bogus and Cameron Beeler teamed to lead Lake Orion to a victory over Rochester on Thursday at Bald Mountain.
Bogus shot a 1-under 36, while Beeler carded a 38. Kyle Wesley (42) and Ian Peterson (47) rounded out the scoring as the team won their first dual meet of the season 163-164.
Earlier in the week, Cameron Beeler placed 7th out of 105 golfers by shooting a 78 at the Paint Creek Country Club. Clarkston won the 22-team event.
SOFTBALL: Lake Orion earned a split with Waterford Kettering, earning a 1-0 victory in extra innings in the nightcap on Wednesday.
The Dragons fell 5-0 in game one, but got a strong pitching performance from Megan Dyer, backed by solid defense, in game two.
Jessica Bays single scored Tessa Tomlin for the winning run in the eighth inning.
The Dragons are now 3-1.
TENNIS: Lake Orion fell 9-0 to Rochester Adams on Thursday. Kelsey Cooper went three sets before falling in her match at #3 singles. Look for a full season preview next week.
SOCCER: The Dragons fell 4-2 to OAA Division 1-leading Troy Athens on Tuesday night. The team got two goals from Shannon Doyle in the loss. They play at Rochester tomorrow.
LACROSSE: The girls? team lost 8-6 to North Farmington-Harrison on Wednesday. Chelsey Booth scored four goals and Sam Bonkowski scored twice. The defensive effort was lead by Lindsay Butterfield’s 13 goalie saves.
On Tuesday, the team tied Clarkston 5-5, on a goal by Ronnie Booth with just three minutes to play. Ronnie Booth scored three times and Bonkowski scored twice. Butterfield stopped eight Clarkston shots, while the defense was lead by Sara Cech, Natalie Pierson and Jessica Burke.
The boys? team fell 8-4 to Royal Oak on Wednesday, getting their first loss of the season in the process. Adam Chappie scored twice to lead LO, who also got goals from Johnny Costigan and RJ Hamilton. Spencer Murphy was strong in net for the Dragons as well.
