Brandon’s girls track team more than held their own as the lone Division 2 team in the Oakland County Indoor Track Meet Tuesday, Mar. 21.
A total of eight Brandon girls won medals at the meet, including Sarah Bond, who placed fourth in the shot put, but still set a new school record with a throw of 38?. The top three finishers in each event earn medals.

The 3200 meter relay team of Kayla Doan, Kelly Wilson, Kelsey Carmean and Kristin Williams headed up the Blackhawks? efforts, finishing first with a time of 10:31. Wilson also placed in the 3200 meter run, finishing third.
Sherri Lawrence earned a second place finish in the pole vault, while teammate Megan Ostrowski was right behind at third in the pole vault. Savannah Stedman was the Blackhawks? other medalist, placing third in the high jump.
Kyle Worden was the lone medalist from the Brandon boys team at the indoor meet, finishing second in the shot put.
