LAKE ORION — The Lake Orion High School girls varsity soccer team lost to Bloomfield Hills 4-2 in the regional semifinal on June 7 at Novi Meadows Stadium.
Lake Orion finished the season 11-8-3 overall.
The Dragons won the Oakland Activities Association White division in 2021 and moved up to the OAA Red, the league’s top division.
Lake Orion posted a winning record against non-division teams this year, and won a second consecutive district title by beating the Oxford Wildcats 1-0 on June 2 at Lake Orion High School.
Last year, the Dragons defeated Grand Blanc in overtime to take the district title.
The Dragons, District 5 champs, moved on to the Michigan High School Athletic Association’s Region 2 semifinals to face District 6 champion Bloomfield Hills (11-2-3 overall).
Bloomfield Hills plays in the OAA Red and previously beat Lake Orion 4-0 on May 10.
