When anyone enters a doctor’s office, it’s hard to feel relaxed or at ease in the sometimes uninviting waiting room.
But now, there’s a comfortable and stress-reduced chiropractic office in downtown Oxford for anyone seeking medical help.
Oxford Family Chiropractic, located at 5 N. Washington Street, between the Northeast Oakland Historical Society and Beadifferent Boutique, will make its grand entrance on October 7 to the downtown area.
The office is owned by Oxford resident Dr. Michael Osborne and was decorated with a comforting up north lodge feel, complete with a fireplace, foliage, ponds and small waterfalls.
‘We just wanted to create a neat environment where people feel comfortable, like they’re walking into their own home,? Osborne said.
Osborne, who goes by ‘Dr. Mike? in the office, earned his degree from Sherman Chiropractic College in South Carolina, and his Oxford office will be the third under his belt in eleven years.
He currently has an office in Shelby Township and formerly had one in Sterling Heights.
Osborne wanted to open up an office in his hometown because he liked the ‘small town feel.?
The chiropractor’s philosophy is to increase his patient’s knowledge of what true health means and let them decide if chiropractic health is the way to go.
‘If you’re looking for that type of thing it’s definitely going to be the place to be,? he said.
Oxford Family Chiropractic will focus on symptoms such as back pain, neck pain and headaches, but more importantly, on prevention and wellness.
‘It’s going to be an oasis for people looking for an alternative to maybe what they thought health was,? he said.
The grand opening for Oxford Family Chiropractic will take place on Saturday, Oct. 7, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
The celebration will be a buzz of activity with raffles, food, giveaways, kids activities, a tour of the office and a meet-and-greet with ‘Dr. Mike.?
After the grand opening, office hours will temporarily be 8 a.m.-Noon, and 3-6 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday.
Call the office at (248) 628-8888 to make an appointment.
