Downtown filled with art & wine

Orion Art Center Director Reggie Harrison put it best.
‘Mother Nature loves art,? she said.
Last Friday, on a warm sunny evening, downtown Lake Orion was crawling with participants from the Mystery Tour of Fine Art and Fine Wine.
The event, which sold out of its 100 tickets, featured three temporary art installments in each of the downtown participating businesses. Participants had a clue for each location and had to choose one piece, out of the three, that corresponded with the clue.
Participants traveled among the 19 businesses that took part in the event, and the night culminated at Elements where Positive Vibration Wine Bar supplied fine wine and appetizers. Additional food was donated by CJ’s Sandbar, Whiskey’s, Poppyseed and Sagebrush Cantina.
At the end, those participants that correctly completed their list of clues were entered into a drawing for prizes.
According to Harrison, the event will help the Art Center continue providing their programs, which include art classes for all ages, summer art camps and concerts.
‘We are so grateful to the restaurants that provided food, the businesses that participated, downtown Lake Orion for sponsoring the event and to the community for making our events so successful,? she said.
