Monday, Oct. 30, after a vehicle was pulled over for an improper plate on Baldwin Road, a passenger jumped out and ran from police into the Great Lakes Crossing parking lot. He was eventually caught by deputies, where it was learned that he was a parole absconder.

Wednesday, Jan. 21, a driver who ended up in a ditch on James Lane was arrested for driving while intoxicated. A passenger was arrested for disorderly conduct and being a minor in possession of alcohol.
A break-in occurred at Natural Touch on Lapeer Road. After shattering a window, the thief(ves) took miscellaneous items/jewelry valued at approximately $100 each. A cash register with $300 inside was also taken.
Tools were stolen from an auto parked at Home Depot on South Lapeer Road.

A man at an Elmhurst Circle apartment said someone tried to have a driver’s name attached to his insurance policy and he hadn’t made that request. The man said someone probably got his insurance policy information from his trash.
