Deputies taser assaultive motorist

An Oakland County Sheriff’s Department deputy deployed his taser during a traffic stop on Aug. 3.
According to an OCSD report, the incident occurred about 2:37 a.m. at South Lapeer Road near Clarkston Road.
The deputy had pulled over a possible intoxicated driver. The driver of the vehicle became very argumentative and assaultive during the stop, and began kicking at the deputy.
The deputy deployed his taser and the suspect was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, resisting and obstructing a police officer and driving with a suspended license.
The suspect was lodged at the Oakland County Jail without further incident.
