CreekFest 2013 volunteers needed

CreekFest, planned for June 28, 29 and 30 in Ortonville, has expanded. Volunteers are needed to help with a host of new attractions.
Brandon High School students are invited to participate in the 2013 CreekFest Essay Contest. The contest starts today, May 18 and ends June 3. Rules are available at the Ortonville village offices and from members of the Brandon High School student council. The essay contest will determine the Headwaters King and Queen, announced at the June 28 Beets, Beats and Eats. The Headwaters King and Queen will reign over the CreekFest Parade at 10 a.m., June 29.
CreekFest 2013 will also feature Kearsley Creek Bed Races, consisting of five person teams (16-years-old minimum) compete by pushing their bed down Mill Street in front of the Old Mill.
