The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a crash that occurred at Rochester and Snell Roads in Oakland Township, after a driver ran a stop sign on July 14.
According to the OCSD Crash Reconstruction Unit, assisting deputies from the Oakland Township substation investigating the crash, one of the vehicles was southbound on Rochester Road, near the intersection of Snell, and the other was driving eastbound on Snell.
At about 3:20 p.m., the driver traveling on Snell, a 29-year-old Rochester Hills man driving a black Pontiac Grand Am, drove through the stop sign at Rochester Road, and into the path of a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica.
The Pacifica was traveling southbound on Rochester and was driven by a 60-year-old Shelby Township resident.
The Pacifica also had three adult female passengers inside, also from Shelby Township.
One passenger from the Pacifica was transported to William Beaumont Hospital in Troy and is listed in stable condition.
The driver of the Grand Am was transported to William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, and is listed in critical/guarded condition with multiple injuries.
The OCSD said all occupants involved were reported to be wearing seatbelts, and alcohol or drugs do not appear to be factors.
The crash remains under investigation.
