Orion Township’s Clerk, Jill Bastian, was one of 49 city and township clerks who received special recognition on June 16 in front of 25 Oakland County Commissioners for their participation in the first consolidated election. Oakland County Clerk Ruth Johnson said the May election was one of the most efficient and best run in the state, thanks to the clerks and the county’s election staff.
