This year’s Oakland Town Hall lecture series kicks off with author Nick Clooney, Oct. 10.
“He’s the father of George Clooney,” said Ruth Schluchter, public relations for Oakland Town Hall. “We’re thrilled to have him back this year.”
Clooney will discuss his experiences as a newsman and with the United Nations at the luncheon and lecture starting at 10:30 a.m. at St. George Cultural Center, 43816 Woodward Avenue in Bloomfield Hills.
The series continues with Gioia Diliberto, writer and fashion historian, Nov. 14; Dr. Jill Carroll, scholar on world religions, April 10; and Elliot Engel, literary lecturer, May 8.
