Clarkston resident receives recognition from educators

Pam Boewe began her education in Clarkston and continues in Auburn Hills.
Currently, Boewe is a teacher preparation program student at Baker College in Auburn Hills, and recently received recognition from the Michigan Association of Teacher Educators (M.A.T.E.).
The recognition was a result of Boewe entering in the M.A.T.E 19th Annual Student/Intern Teacher of the Year Award competition. The idea for the competition is to encourage students who are preparing to become teachers to demonstrate exemplary teaching skills.
Boewe placed second among 71 entrants from Michigan colleges and universities. Now Boewe is entered in the national competition sponsored by the Association of Teacher Educators and Kappa Delta Pi.
‘To receive recognition from this prestigious organization is a wonderful accomplishment,? said Jeff Love, President Baker College Auburn Hills.
