It appears rational thinking finally prevailed between New Beginnings Baptist Church and Orion Township, over the church’s signage offering free food to those in need. Pastor Tim Chappell met with Township Supervisor JoAnn Van Tassel last Wednesday to resolve the issue. According to Chappell, the church will now be able to place its sign whenever food is available. It also will be able to continue its clothing giveaways, as long as they take place further back from the road. As for the two tickets issued, an appreciative Chappell said the supervisor promised to take care of them.
