The Oxford Competitive Cheer Team took home their first trophy of the season last Saturday after placing second at the Lapeer East Classic Tournament.
With a total of 624.1 points, only 11 short of the first place position, the girls did their best and came out shining.
Throughout the tournament, the girls held steady to a first place position the first two rounds, but dropped to second after their third round.
‘For third round, all of our stunts went up and hit,? Coach Alanna Stockley said. ‘Now, we just have to not wobble as much when we hit our stunts.?
Stockley said the girls had a great day and that their goal is ‘to improve every competition by increasing our points.?
Oxford High School will host a competitive cheer invitational on Saturday, Jan. 13 starting at 10 a.m.
