The Oxford varsity competitive cheer team is holding on to a second place standing in the Flint Metro League after a second place win at Waterford Mott on Saturday.
Coach Alanna Stockley said the team had their ‘best day yet? in their first and second rounds.
The girls scored a 191 in the first round and 196.2 in the second.
In the third round, which is made up of elaborate stunting and tumbling, the girls fell short with a 250.5.
‘Many of our stunts fell, so we will be taking the majority of our practice time to fix up, clean our third round,? Stockley said.
Last Wednesday was the girls? second FML tournament, where they scored a 174.5 in the first round, 179 in the second and 270 in the third.
