In a three-game span, Jake went 7-for-8, with two walks and scored four runs. Jake’s timely hitting helped the 10U Chargers win all three of their games this past week, including two wins over the Troy Tigers and a close victory over the Rochester Rebels.

Defensive Player of the Week
11U Orion Chargers Team
The first signs of a special defensive day on Father’s Day Sunday came when the starting pitcher, Dominic Maduri, picked off the first base-runner of the day with a quick move to first base.
Spectators also enjoyed seeing a double play catch and throw from centerfielder Christian James, two impressive catches in left field by the deft afoot Zach Serzo, and an unconventional double play completed from third to first and back to third by Mike Falter (3B) and Mario Arribas (1B).
Not to be outdone, catcher Joe Turnbull made a spectacular play late in the game with a diving, flat out, catch along the visitor’s dugout fence!

Damion pitched five innings of one hit baseball, striking out three. This was Damion’s first start off the disabled list and helped his team to a hard fought victory.
