Changes for chamber

Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated another year of business at its annual meeting, Sept. 17 at Oakhurst Golf and Country Club.
President Heidi Wood led the chamber through some tough times in her year-long tenure, reducing staff and services to streamline expenses.
‘It’s been a challenge to balance the budget and still remain a strong, viable chamber,? Wood told the chamber. ‘I thank you for your support this year ? I couldn’t have done it without you.?
The chamber expanded its presence on social websites such as Facebook and Twitter with the help of Jason T. Ryan, winner of this year’s President’s Award.
‘We have 667 followers on Twitter,? Wood said.
New chamber President Johnna Struck takes office Oct. 1.
‘I can’t believe it’s already here ? the year goes by very fast,? Struck said.
The chamber will continue to focus on its members and its Think Local, Buy Chamber campaign, she said.
