Never content to rest on their lofty laurels, Century 21 Hallmark West, North Oakland County’s favorite realtors, has recently added a fourth office to it’s company.
Owner’s Bill and Carol Mountain, in the 36th year of their real estate business, acquired the new office, and the building it is in, during late Fall, 2004. The office has previously been Century 21 Executives since 1996. The spacious and aestetically pleasing addition to the Hallmark West family is located at 3604 Clarkston Road just west of Baldwin Road.
‘We have a wonderful staff in place out there led by Barb Wood,? said Bill Mountain. ‘It’s a beatiful building to start and is in the midst of a rapidly growing area.?
While growing tremendously over the years, Century 21 Hallmark West has remained a family oriented business. Bill and Carol’s three sons ? Bill Jr., Pat and Tom ? are all involved in the real estate business. Other affiliated businesses owned by the Mountain’s include American Home Mortgage Corporation, Hallmark Enterprises and Title USA.
‘We’re a throwback to the original family run business. We are very hands on, we would never ask one of our sales associates or staff to do something we would not do,? said Bill.

‘We have a local town, local atmosphere type of atitude to running our business. As opposed to the big box stores and other companies; they don’t know the local people from Adam,? said Bill Mountain.
Century 21 Hallmark West was awarded the 2004 Business of the Year award in Waterford Township, one of the many awards the company has earned over the years. Bill is currently the president of the Waterford Chamber of Commerce. In the past, he has been president of the North Oakland County Board of Realtors and Real Comp II, the multiple listing service.
Along with their many accolades in the business world, Bill and Carol have made being active in civic and charitable organizations a focal point throughout their careers. They also have received the Waterford Township Community Service award for their dedication to helping children’s organizations and those with disabilities.
‘Even though most of our offices are located in what would be considered mildly to greatly affluent areas, there’s lots of people who seem to fall through the cracks in our society. We look for people who need help, but have not found it yet. We want to help people who are literally going to have nothing during the holidays or otherwise,? said Carol.
The Mountain’s companies, along with friends and supporters, raised over $250,000 on behalf of Easter Seals. During the holidays, Century 21 Hallmark West, and it’s office staff and sales associates, has for over 20 years provided food and gifts for families in need in each of the townships where their offices are located. Gifts have included a variety of meals, bikes and televisions. The Mountain’s and Century 21 Hallmark West feel it is their job to make a difference ? both in the real estate business, and in the civic and charitable area.
