Guitars and sunglasses were the most commonly-seen items during the Oxford Chamber of Commerce Christmas parade Saturday as ‘Rock and Roll? was the theme. Everybody had loads of fun playing rock star and emulating musical legends ranging from the King, Elvis Presley, to the bearded band from Texas, ZZ Top. Encore!
Downtown Oxford was filled with the Christmas spirit Friday evening as families, friends and neighbors enjoyed the annual Soup and Sweet Stroll. They went from business to business sampling savory soups and sinful sweets, then ended the evening in Centennial Park with Christmas carols sung by Oxford choir students and the annual tree lighting ceremony.
