Christmas In Action has the resources and volunteers for their program. Now they’re seeking people in need in the community to help. They offer yard work, home repairs and other services for low-income, handicapped, and elderly homeowners throughout the area. For more information, call 248-625-4711.

Road resurfacing

Stimulus-funded road projects this year include part of White Lake Road in Independence Township. The resurfacing project from Clement Road to Dixie Highway starts May 1 and costs $1.1 million, funded by the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Road Commission for Oakland County receives $9 million this year for projects.
