Car break-ins may be linked

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department is looking into several vehicle break-ins that took place over the weekend of Feb. 3-5.
According to various OCSD reports, there were six reported incidents on the night of Feb. 3, all on Rohr Road.
Windows were broken to gain access in four of the six vehicles, and various items, ranging from change to clothing to electronic equipment, was taken.
These thefts may be linked to five others that were reported on Shrewsbury Drive and Newcastle Drive on Feb. 5.
Two of the three incidents on Shrewsbury included broken car windows, and the other included a home invasion.
Windows were broken and items such as cell phones and jackets were taken from the two reports on Newcastle.
The investigation was ongoing at press time, though a possible suspect had been identified, according to the OCSD.
