Trustees have approved the purchase of a L48 Kabota for the buildings and grounds department.
The request from Orion Township Buildings and Grounds director Reenae Tulip was received at the July 5 meeting. The cost of the tractor, with backhoe and loader, is $36,500.
Tulip said the department has outgrown the tractor it currently uses and needs the new one to maintain the nature trail and to auger holes for fence and sign posts at both Civic Center and Friendship Parks.
