Brown to take reins at OES

Jeff Brown, assistant principal at Oxford Middle School will be Debbie Stout’s successor at Oxford Elementary School.
‘I am excited,? he said. ‘It will be fun and I am excited to get back to that age group.?
Brown met the staff and toured the school last Friday. While he walked around the halls he introduced himself to a few students.
‘It was amazing the reaction,? he said. ‘When they found out I was from the middle school they asked if I knew their brothers and sisters.?
Brown’s been at the middle school for two years and was an elementary principal for two years at Montague Public Schools before that. He taught for seven years in Detroit Public Schools.
He will start his new position in August and be there when the students start in September.
‘The school is already successful,? he said. ‘It seems like a great place to be.?
