There’s nothing more exciting than seeing a children’s book come to life on the big screen.
That’s why Oxford resident Bill Peterson decided to bring C.S. Lewis’s beloved masterpiece, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, to life for the lucky students at Oxford, Daniel Axford and Lakeville Elementary schools.
Peterson, an employee of General Motors, grew up loving the Chronicles of Narnia series and thought it only logical to help promote the December release of the Disney movie.
The advertising firm American Amp has teamed with Disney to find people to promote the film.
They sent Peterson a knight’s costume to wear, maps of Narnia, a timeline of each Narnia book as well as a behind the scenes DVD for the upcoming movie. He also spoke with the fifth graders about the author and the plot of the book.
