Learn about Hemingway ONTV
The Michigan Humanities Council, an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, is presenting ‘The Great Michigan Read? in partnership with the Orion Township Library.
This one book, one state initiative features Hemingway’s The Nick Adams Stories, which are set in northern Michigan.
Orion Neighborhood Television will be playing a half-hour video, Ernest Hemingway: Life in Michigan, on cable channel 10 on Feb. 11 and 12 at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., in conjunction with this initiative.
The video takes a look at a young ‘Ernie? spending his boyhood summers with his family at their cottage in northern Michigan.

Township hosts drain open house
Orion Township and the Oakland County Drain Commission will host a public input open house on Tuesday, Feb. 12 to gather background information and determine existing drainage issues with regard to the Axford Drainage District. The open house will be held at OrionTownship Hall from 6-8 p.m.
